Supervision
Clinical and creative supervision at Sequoia Therapy is a reflective, supportive, and ethically grounded space. It is designed to empower practitioners to navigate the complexities of their work while fostering professional growth and maintaining the highest standards of care.
Clinical Supervision
Clinical supervision is a mandatory requirement for most practitioners, providing a structured space to explore the complexities of client work. It is a collaborative relationship focused on the practitioner’s professional development, ensuring high standards of practice and the safety and wellbeing of both client and therapist. This space allows for reflection on clinical skills, theoretical application, and the impact of the work on the practitioner. It provides an essential framework for addressing ethical boundaries, safeguarding, risk assessment, and the practitioner's own emotional resilience, ensuring that the therapeutic work remains contained and effective.

Three functions of supervision
Normative
The administrative and ethical function. This involves quality control, maintaining professional standards, safeguarding clients, and ensuring the work is conducted within ethical and legal boundaries.
Formative
The educational and developmental function. Focuses on the practitioner’s skill development, theoretical understanding, and self-awareness, supporting continuous learning and growth.
Restorative
The supportive function. Provides an emotional release and support for the practitioner, addressing the impact of client work on their own wellbeing and preventing burnout.

Creative Supervision
Supervision is a reflective, supportive, and ethically grounded space. Creative supervision uses artistic materials and creative processes to help you explore your work, supporting deep reflection and uncovering fresh perspectives in your practice.
Benefits of Creative Supervision
Deeper reflection through creative processes and materials.
Unlocking new perspectives when feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
Safe containment for complex therapeutic work and clinician wellbeing.
Why Supervision Matters
Supervision gives you somewhere to bring the work that genuinely stays with you. It is a place to offload, to process complex emotions, and to ensure that you are not carrying the weight of your clinical practice alone. By creating this dedicated space for reflection, you are better equipped to serve your clients effectively and ethically.
Your wellbeing matters. Looking after yourself as a therapist is something supervision should actively support, providing restorative care that helps prevent burnout and sustains your passion for the work.
Group Supervision
Team Dynamics
Supervision within a group setting explores the interpersonal dynamics and systemic relationships that influence practitioners and their teams.
Peer Support
Group supervision fosters a shared reflective space where practitioners can gain validation and perspective from their colleagues in a supportive environment.
Shared Learning
By looking at varied case studies and experiences within the group, practitioners benefit from diverse perspectives and communal clinical wisdom.
Supervision for Practitioners
Step into a supervision space designed for practitioners who want depth, authenticity and support that honours the way you think and work. I offer a warm, collaborative environment rooted in neurodivergent‑affirming practice, ideal for counsellors, therapists, coaches and wellbeing professionals who value inclusive, reflective and curiosity‑driven supervision.
As a neurodivergent supervisor, I’m passionate about supporting neurodivergent practitioners and those working with neurodivergent clients. I recognise that traditional models don’t fit everyone, and that our lived experience, identity and processing style shape our therapeutic voice. Here, you’re free to show up as your whole self — structured or nonlinear, masked or unmasked — without judgement or pressure to perform.
My supervision style blends relational depth with practical clarity. Drawing from pluralistic, person‑centred and trauma‑informed approaches, I integrate creative tools, psychoeducation and coaching‑influenced reflection to help you gain insight and momentum. I bring a thoughtful lens to power, language, intersectionality and the systems we navigate, supporting you to make sense of your work in a way that feels grounded and empowering.
Whether you’re navigating ethical questions, refining your niche, exploring identity in your practice or managing burnout, I’m here to help you strengthen your confidence, expand your capacity and grow a sustainable, aligned therapeutic career.
Supervision with me offers a space to think aloud, explore possibilities, challenge yourself gently and develop a practice that feels both authentic and resilient.
